7 years separate these photos. 7 years. 12 pant sizes. 80 pounds.

Yep. You read that right. I forgot I’ve been on my journey for so long, that I too had a starting point. Often people assume I’m just “the fitness person.” Although I’m happy to be the fitness person, I was not always all about fitness. I too have struggled with my health, confidence, and body image.

We are all beautiful, at all shapes, and sizes, and the most valuable lesson I have learned it to protect my health, and confidence cannot be bought. The most rewarding part of my entire journey has been the confidence I’ve gained.

I had a long post typed out, but just erased it and figured that would be better suited for a video or blog post. So, what I’ll leave you with is to remember to never compare you’re beginning to someone else’s end or middle. It’s so easy to get wrapped up in a comparison game, and we must stop.

Everyone who is now an expert was once a beginner, and everyone started somewhere. Remember, “a journey of a thousand miles behind with a single step.”

One of my goals I set out to hit in 2020 was to read more. Even though I got in a decent amount of books in 2019 (close to 50), I felt as if I could have read way more.

If you have been watching my stories you know I have some ambitious reading goals for this year, so today, I say down with a book in hand and just read. Keeping those promises to myself and making a little more time for me in the New Year.

Check out my stories and tell me if you have any big reading goals for 2020! 📚

Don’t let that voice in the back of your mind tell you:
❌ Just wait until tomorrow
❌ You’re not strong enough to do that, don’t waste your time
❌ You have more important things to do today
❌ Home workouts aren’t comparable to results seen in the gym
❌The kids are keeping me too busy
❌ I am just so tired
❌ I have too much to do

Guys we’ve all been there. We’ve all heard that voice in the back of our mind coming up with a million excuses on why we shouldn’t start today. 𝐈𝐆𝐍𝐎𝐑𝐄 that voice! If 𝐓𝐇𝐀𝐓 is the reason why you aren’t becoming the best version of yourself….if you continue to let it win, you won’t ever get to your goal. Harsh words, but true.

𝐘𝐎𝐔 𝐀𝐑𝐄 𝐈𝐍 𝐂𝐎𝐍𝐓𝐑𝐎𝐋 of your own life. Not your subconscious, not your friends, not your significant other, not your family. Stop caring about what others might think if they see you making changes for yourself. Why? Because you better 𝐁𝐄𝐓 I’ll be there cheering you on 𝐄𝐕𝐄𝐑𝐘 step of the way!

What is the excuse your subconscious gives you when you want to make time to change for the better? Mine used to be, “there’s no way I’ll be able to get it done with Tad awake,” and “I am just so tired and there is no time.” Huge excuse maker. I finally said enough is enlightening. Let me know below what you’re telling yourself and we will overcome those excuses and lies together. ✨

Sometimes 𝙡𝙞𝙛𝙚 𝙩𝙝𝙧𝙤𝙬𝙨 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙘𝙪𝙧𝙫𝙚𝙗𝙖𝙡𝙡𝙨. One curveball? Getting sick the week of Christmas when your husband is off work all week. Then the kiddos end up sick on Christmas too. 🥴

Every curveball is different. Maybe you got your dream job but it means moving across the country. You find the perfect house and are so excited, but life pulls you and your family in a different direction.

I keep talking on grace because I think it is so important to continue to show up for your 𝐁𝐄𝐒𝐓 life and keep showering yourself, and others with grace. Be prepared for those unexpected things, and when they do happen, don’t let them take you out of the game. Pick yourself up, change your strategy, and keep on moving. ✨

More about me

Years ago I was a new mother, overwhelmed, unhappy, unconfident, and very extremely overweight. The birth of my son led me on a journey from self loathing to self loving, and now, I want to pay it forward, and help you be your own transformation, from the inside out.
